150 kW / 330 kWh Solar Battery Storage for a Surface Treatment Plant in Germany
YOTAI PARTNER REFERENCE · YINTU ENERGY SOLUTIONS
YOTAI's OTEGA reference in Kassel describes a 150 kW / 330 kWh solar-and-storage project for a component surface treatment operation. The project combines existing PV generation with battery dispatch to address high electricity expenditure, demand peaks and surplus daytime solar.

Customer Situation and Energy Requirements
The factory's daytime electrical loads did not always absorb the available solar production. At other times, substantial motor loads contributed to peaks in grid demand. The project therefore needed a strategy that could respond to both surplus generation and changing production loads.
The partner reference also identifies grid-voltage fluctuations and variations in PV power. These conditions make the measurement location and interaction between site controls and inverter protection important parts of the project. A battery energy rating alone does not resolve those interface requirements.
Storage Integration and Control Strategy
The source describes a maximum-power threshold at the main grid incomer. When import approaches that setting, storage can discharge to support loads on the site's AC network. When local PV is available, the operating priority is to use it within the facility and store suitable surplus energy.
The same strategy must respect battery charge and discharge limits. Once solar generation, site load or battery SOC changes, the controller needs to adjust the operating point. The source identifies export-control requirements but does not provide a numerical export allowance for this factory.
For a comparable plant, commissioning should examine changes in motor load and PV generation together, including the response when the battery cannot absorb more energy. Voltage ride-through settings and protective functions require coordination with the selected equipment and connection requirements.
Intended Operational Value
The intended value is greater use of the factory's own solar generation and lower exposure to selected grid-import peaks. Storage also provides an energy reserve that may support an agreed backup arrangement, subject to the switching, protection and essential-load design.
The collection gives a project configuration and operating objectives, rather than before-and-after meter records. It does not establish a measured savings percentage, a payback period or a guaranteed continuity result for this site.
Planning a Comparable Installation
- Record the factory load and PV profile at a useful time resolution.
- Define the grid-import threshold and any permitted export.
- Review motor starting, voltage behavior and converter limits.
- Agree how self-consumption dispatch and any backup reserve share the battery.
Related YINTU Storage Options
For a new AC-coupled project, review the 50 kW / 115.2 kWh commercial storage cabinet as a current catalogue option. It has a different published energy rating from the 110 kWh family in this reference and uses an external PV inverter for solar integration. Our factory battery storage sizing guide explains the load-data inputs needed before selecting a configuration.
How YINTU Supports a Comparable Project
YINTU is an energy storage solution provider working with manufacturing partners, including YOTAI. We support application assessment, equipment selection and technical coordination for customer-specific projects. This article presents a supplier reference. YINTU does not claim to have designed or installed the featured site.
For a new proposal, share production schedules, interval demand, PV output, grid connection limits and essential-load requirements. The agreed technical scope defines equipment, interfaces and service responsibilities. The source's 110 kWh equipment family should not be treated as identical to a current catalogue product with a different rating.
Project Questions
Does 330 kWh mean the full energy can be delivered to AC loads?
The source lists project battery energy. Usable AC delivery also depends on the permitted SOC window, conversion losses, auxiliaries and operating conditions.
Can the same three-cabinet arrangement be copied for another factory?
Only after reviewing the new site's power, energy, electrical interfaces and approved parallel-operation architecture. Cabinet count is a project result, rather than a universal sizing rule.
